Coffee Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 946 ml whole milk
  • 175 g granulated sugar
  • 10 ml vanilla extract
  • 473 ml heavy cream
  • 55 g ground coffee

Cooking method:

  • Combine all the ingredients except the coffee in a medium sized saucepan and bring to a simmer until the sugar dissolves.
  • Place the coffee into cheesecloth and make a sachet using butcher twine.
  • Place the coffee sachet into the hot liquid and let seep for 45 minutes. Before discarding the sachet, press out the sachet to get all the liquid/flavor possible into the saucepan.
  • Pour the mixture into the Waring commercial ice cream machine and run the program.
  • Remove from basket and freeze until firm and/or ready to use.
